Student Equity and Placement

Oversees the registration and placement of new students annually. The objective of this office is to provide services to all families who need to transition their children from one school to another, or one program to another. 


Assists parents with the registration process. 


Provides parents with information about the schools available to their children to help them make an informed choice.

Eligibility: Resident of area served.

Application Process: Call for more information.

Required Documentation: Child's identification (one of the following): Birth Certificate, Alien registration card (not required for registration), Other satisfactory documentation. Proof of Address (only one needed): Rent/lease contract, Mortgage statement, Current phone bill, Current utility bill, Pay stub. Proof of Guardianship: Only if it has changed since the child's birth certificate was issued. Individual Education Plan (IEP): If your child has one. Child's immunization record: Updated immunizations are required for your child to attend school.

Fees: No fee for services.

Coverage Note: City of Rochester.

Languages: Spanish, American Sign Language
