Emergency Assistance Program
thru: The Salvation Army Ontario & Yates County Unit Geneva
• Provides rent payment assistance with eviction notice.
• Provides prescription assistance.
• Provides gas, electricity bill payment assistance with a shut off notice(when funding is available).
Language Access
Eligibility: Resident of area served.
Application Process: Call for appointment.
Required Documentation: Eviction or shut off notice. Proof of income. Proof of expenses. Proof of address. Photo ID for anyone 21 years or older. Birth certificate for all children in the household.
Fees: No fee for services.
Coverage Note: City/Town of Geneva, Hall, Seneca Castle, Stanley, Oaks Corner and Penn Yann. Also serves Yates County.
Languages: Spanish- Staff provides service in language offered, Staff provides in-person interpreter, Materials/literature in language indicated
