Reentry Advocacy

thru: Center for Community Alternatives

Offers services to individuals who face barriers to employment, education, and licensing because of their prior incarceration or criminal conviction. Services include:

  • Assistance with obtaining, reviewing and correcting criminal history information (rap sheets)
  • Counseling with regard to legal rights and obligations in searching for employment with a criminal record
  • Strategizing about the most effective way to talk to prospective employers about criminal justice involvement
  •  Assistance in applying for Certificates of Rehabilitation (including Certificate of Relief from Disabilities and Certificates of Good Conduct); and advocacy to administrative licensing services
