Offers volunteer work for persons with pets who are willing to come in with their pets and spend time with residents.

  • Different types of pets are accepted that can be an educational visitor to residents (turtle, snake, tarantula, guinea pig, bunny, etc)
  • Willingness to spend time with residents
  • 10 placements are available
  • Must be educational, share pet-specific information, and be about the species in the case of exotic pets
  • Can be a one-time or regular visitor, regular visitors are preferred
  • Up to 2 hours per visit
  • Can be used to fulfill ABAWD (Able-bodied without dependents) hours

Eligibility: Interest to working with seniors, a well-mannered, trained pet who enjoys being around people. Pass a background check.

Application Process: Submit an inquiry through the website.

Required Documentation: Full unboarding packet, visiting pet release form, background check, and vaccination records for the pet.

Fees: No fee for services.
