Recreation Assistant

thru: Episcopal SeniorLife Communities

Offers volunteer opportunities as a Recreation Assistant, will assist in setting up and engaging with residents in recreational activities at ESLC communities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings in the community. Will work under the direction of the Recreation Manager and Life Enrichment Coordinators.

  • Training will be provided
  • Requires 10 volunteers
  • 2-4 hours per shift
  • Can be used to fulfill ABAWD (Able-bodied without dependents) hours
  • Interest in working with seniors
  • Basic knowledge of dementia (helpful but not required)
  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work in a team-oriented setting
  • High degree of reliability
  • Positive attitude

Eligibility: Resident of area served. Call for information.

Application Process: Submit an inquiry online, must pass a background check, take a PPD tuberculosis test (provided by ESLC).

Required Documentation: Inmunization records, negative PPD, Full onboarding packet, completed background check (by ESLC).

Fees: No fee for services.
