Education Services
thru: Literacy Volunteers of Ontario-Yates Inc.
• Provides no cost literacy tutoring to adults by trained volunteers.
• Assists English speakers looking to improve reading, writing, math or science literacy or pursue their GED.
• Assists foreign-language speakers seeking to learn English: comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. Helps those interested prepare for US Citizenship exam.
• Structures tutoring primarily in a one on one setting at a time and place convenient for both learner and tutor to work with individuals until they have met their goals. Group sessions are offered as needed for math, science, building social skills, pronunciation as well as a book group.
Eligibility: Ages 16 or older. Not required to be enrolled in secondary school.

Fees: No fee for services.
