Cancer Services - Rochester
- Road To Recovery: Provides free rides to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a car or are unable to drive themselves. Volunteer drivers donate their time and use of their cars so that patients can receive the lifesaving treatment they need.
- Reach To Recovery: Offers a program designed to help individuals cope with breast cancer through one-on-one peer support. Trained volunteers provide support and up-to-date information for patients, family and caregivers. It is offered at all points along the cancer continuum, from pre-diagnosis through the entire period when breast cancer remains a personal concern.
- Hope Lodge: Offers free temporary lodging while undergoing treatment for patients and a caregiver who live more than 40 miles from treatment center.
- Cancer Survivors Network (csn.cancer.org): Free online community created by and for people with cancer and their families. Services include discussion boards, chat rooms, and personal web space to tell your story.
Eligibility: Call for information.
Application Process: All calls should be directed to the National Center Information Center for referral to the appropriate resource person.
Required Documentation: None.
Fees: No fee for service.
Monroe, Livingston, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates Counties.
