• Lends audio, braille books and magazines, and the necessary playback equipment, to residents of Upstate New York who are unable to use standard printed materials because of a visual, physical or reading disability.

• Provides books and magazines downloading services through BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download).

Eligibility: Be unable to read standard printed materials because of visual or physical disability (missing limb, severe arthritis, etc.) or have a diagnosed reading/learning disability.
Application Process: Call or e-mail for information. Download application from website.
Required Documentation: Certification by a physician or qualified professional necessary.
Fees: No fees for service or for mailing.
