Financial Assistance

* Provides utility assistance, including RGE electricity and gas assistance, for individuals who have received shut off notices.
* Provides emergency rental apartment security deposit assistance.
* Application Process: All Applications are subject to fund availability, final review, and approval. Clients may request an appointment during walk-ins or over the phone. More documents may be required to complete application. Clients will complete a budget to ensure they can sustainably meet their needs after they receive assistance.
Eligibility: Rent arrears: Must have "pay or quit" or eviction notice. Utility assistance: must have shut-off notice. Call for additional information.
Application Process: To start a back rent application, please call 211. To check the status of that application call CFC during business hours. All applications are subject to fund availability, final review, and approval. Clients may request an appointment during walk-ins or over the phone. More documents may be required to complete application. Clients will complete a budget to ensure they can sustainably meet their needs after they receive assistance.
Required Documentation: ID for each member of the household. Current Proof of Income.
Fees: No fee for service.
