* Provides books and magazines downloading services through BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download).
Eligibility: Be unable to read standard printed materials because of visual or physical disability (missing limb, severe arthritis, etc.) or have a diagnosed reading/learning disability.
Application Process: Call or e-mail for information or download application from website.
Required Documentation: Certification by a physician or qualified professional necessary.
Fees: No fees for service or for mailing.

The New York State Talking Book and Braille Library (TBBL) lends audio and braille books and magazines, and the necessary playback equipment, to residents of New York State who are unable to use standard printed materials because of a visual or physical disability.
