* Helps at-risk middle and high school students stay in school and earn their diplomas.


* Offers part-time work experience and job skills.


* Provides support from professional Youth Advocates for personal growth.


* Offers enrichment opportunities like career exploration, college tours, and workforce readiness.


* Includes participation in specialized Affinity Groups and Summer Academy.


* Empowers students with skills and confidence for success in school, at home, and on the job.

Eligibility: Students in grades 7 through 12. Must have at least two of the following risk factors: Low socioeconomic status (SES). Low school attendance. Overage for grade. Failing 2 or 3 core subjects. ELA/Math level below 3. Suspensions. Must attend one of the designated Hillside Work Scholarship Schools, including: Early College International High School. East High School. Edison Career & Technology. Gates-Chili High School. Gates-Chili Middle School. Greece Athena High School. James Monroe High School. Joseph C. Wilson High School Commencement Academy. School of the Arts. School Without Walls (480 Broadway Avenue, 14607). World of Inquiry #58. RIA. Thurgood Marshall. Padilla.

Application Process: Call program or contact the student's school community site coordinator, school counselor, or youth advocate.

Required Documentation: Intake packet provided.

Fees: No fee for services.

Coverage Note: Select schools in Rochester City School District, Greece School District, and Gates Chili School District.
