  • Counseling.
  • Financial management.
  • Energy assistance.
  • Employment services.
  • Home support.
  • Case management.
  • Transportation assistance.
  • Senior centers information.
* Provides NYConnects, a comprehensive information and assistance service for all long-term care services regardless of age.
  • Includes screening for social and medical needs, financial status, available service options regardless of payer source, comprehensive needs assessment, service/care coordination and public education.

Eligibility: Age 60 years or older. For some programs - Spouse or Adult Disabled Child of participant 60 years or older regardless of spouse age. Adult Disabled Child 21 years or older. Caregivers: all ages.

The Monroe County Office for the Aging is designated as the Area Agency on Aging for Monroe County.  The office is responsible for planning, coordinating, funding and advocating for programs and services which meet the needs of Monroe County residents age 60 and over and their caregivers of any age.
