* Provides HUD Section 8 rental payment assistance and home ownership options to low income households in New York State.
- Rental assistance for homeless veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
- Enables families having a person with disabilities to lease affordable private housing of their choice.
- Assists families whose lack of adequate housing is a primary reason for the imminent placement of the family’s child(ren) in out-of-home care, or in a delay in the discharge of the child(ren) to the family from out-of-home care.
- Assists PHAs with relocation or replacement housing needs that result from the demolition, disposition, or mandatory conversion of public housing unit.
Eligibility: Must meet income guidelines which vary based on household composition.
Application Process: Closed to public- call for assistance, print application from website, applications available outside of office or request mailed application.
Required Documentation: Proof of residency at time of application.
Fees: No fee for services.
