* Preserves and protects the public from diseases, environmental hazards, and health risks through direct services, enforcement of health codes and medical policies.


* Monitoring, processing, and investigation of complaints regarding;

  • Air pollution
  • Chemical spills
  • Food protection
  • Lead poisoning screening/Lead Poisoning Prevention Program
  • Public water systems

* Provides information on the handling, abatement, and management of asbestos.
