OPWDD Planned Respite Services
* Provides respite care for families who have children with emotional, behavioral, and/or mental disorders.
- Planned group respite events takes place in the community. These events are generally offered to identified children and siblings, on a regular schedule, predetermined by the parents and staff.
- In-Home and Community respite care is available on a planned hourly basis to all of the children in the home or at a community activity.
Eligibility: Any eligible OPWDD family with a child who has emotional, behavioral, mental, and/or developmental challenges.
Application Process: Call for a referral to the Family Peer Advocate in county of caller's residence.
Required Documentation: None.
Fees: No fee for service.
Coverage Note: Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chemung, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates Counties.
