The VFW National Home Family Program only applies after going through the assessment process with the Helpline.

* Provides housing at the National Home for Military families for up to four years. Families who are accepted into the program can live at the National Home in a single family home for up to four years while working with a professional case manager to set goals and make plans for the future. Services include:

  • Educational, recreational and enrichment opportunities
  • Case management
  • Access to educational, recreational and enrichment opportunities
  • Community resources and counseling referrals are provided as needed
  • Free state-certified daycare services are provided free of charge for children five and under

Eligibility: Families of active-duty military personnel, veterans.

Required Documentation: None.

Fees: No fee for services.

VFW National Home for Children is a national non-profit dedicated to giving veteran and veteran-related families assistance in dealing with hardships and finding resources locally and in communities throughout the country.
