* Provides sign language or oral interpreters, matching skill level of interpreters with communication mode of deaf persons.

* Provides opportunities for interpreters to upgrade their skills.

* Promotes the use of interpreters in the community.

* Provides advocacy for deaf consumers.

Application Process: Call to arrange for interpreter.

Required Documentation: None.

Fees: No fee to consumers; fee to service providers.

Coverage Note: Cayuga, Onondaga, Oswego, Cortland and Jefferson counties.
