* Provides child care subsidies to help eligible families pay for quality child care.

* Provides child care payment assistance by eligible providers during school closures for families not currently in receipt of subsidy.
  • Families must provide the childcare application (6025 - available on website) as well as proof of employment for consideration. Applications are available on the Monroe County website and can be emailed to dfa2a26.sm.monroe.ChildCare-DHS@dfa.state.ny.us or faxed to 585-753-6308.

Application Process: Applications are available on this website www2.monroecounty.gov/hs-daycare.php or can be mailed by calling the appointment line. Applications must be mailed back to: Income Eligible Daycare Team, 111 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14620. Families who are currently receiving Temporary Assistance should continue to work with their case examiner.

Required Documentation: Call or walk-in for information.

Fees: Program pays a portion of child care costs.
