* Serves as a link between parents and school, keeping parents informed of school events and how they can become involved, along with assisting the parent with any concerns or questions they may have about the school, including but not limited to: 
  • Attendance. 
  • Bullying. 
  • Communication with the school. 

Eligibility: Child must attend a school in RCSD.

Application Process: Access website to find parent liaison for a particular school and then parent can call or e-mail the parent liaison.

Required Documentation: None.

Fees: No fee for services.

Coverage Note: Rochester City School District.

Languages: Access to interpreters.

 

Rochester City School District Parent Liaisons/Home School Assistants serve as a link between parents and schools, keeping parents informed of school events and how they can become involved, and assisting parents with any concerns or questions they may have about school. The goals of parent liaisons in the district are to promote:  A higher level of responsiveness and customer service to all families.  Higher levels of parental involvement in support of your child’s education.  Improved communication, from school to home and home to school, by working with school staff and parents.
