* Provides education, occupational training, job readiness training, academic assistance, job/internship placement, case management, mentoring, service learning to both in-school and out-of school youth.
  • YouthBuild: GED classes/TASC, construction training, job readiness training for unemployed, out-of-school youth.
  • Growth Opportunities(GO): prepares justice-involved young adults for entry into the workforce through job placement and paid work experiences. Services include case management, occupational training, high school equivalency preparation, work experience placements, mentoring, supportive services, and leadership development.
  • Workforce Development for Under and Unemployed Individuals(WDUI): works with individuals of all ages to obtain industry recognized certifications and job placement in improved career paths. 
  • Navigator: Academic and employment mentoring and assistance for out-of-school youth.
  • Improving Reentry Education and Employment Outcomes(REE): supports justice-involved adults move from incarceration to successful and stable reintegration into the community. The program provides pre-release, transitional, and post-release services centered on the unique needs of each person. 

Eligibility: YouthBuild: high school dropouts, 17-24 years. Navigator: out-of-school youth ages 17-24. GO: 18-24 years old who have been involved in the justice system. WDUI: underemployed or unemployed Rochester area residents. REE: Currently incarcerated adults 18 years and older who will soon be released to the Rochester area.

Fees: No fee for services.

The Urban League of Rochester (ULR)is a human services non-profit and civil rights organization that serves minority and low-income individuals and families in the Rochester and Monroe County area.
