* Provides public education and referral for suicide prevention.
  • NAMI Basics: a free 6-session course for parents, guardians, and other family living with a child or adolescent experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Nothing to Hide-Mental Illness in the Family: a museum quality, black and white photo-text exhibit consists of 20 photographs and interviews of families navigating the mental health system with their loved ones. The exhibit demonstrates qualities such as courage, resilience and the resourcefulness of family members advocating for their loved ones.
  • NAMI Family to Family: a free 8-week course, 2 1/2 hours long, virtual or in person. Fopr family memeber and friends with an adult loved one with a serious mental health condition.
  • NAMI ending the silence: youth awarenes and education, 50 min presentation in school for high schoolers. Provides awarances on mental health, signs, coping skills, miths, stigmas.

NAMI of Cayuga County is an organization of volunteers that provides support, education and advocacy for families and friends of individuals with serious, chronic mental illness.
