* Offers affordably priced independent living apartments based on one’s income to seniors and individuals with disabilities. Rental subsidies such as Section 8 are accepted where applicable.
  • Many senior units are wheelchair accessible and are designed to accommodate the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities.

Eligibility: Age 62 or older, or be disabled and age 18 or older. Must meet income guidelines. Call for more information.

Fees: Residents pay a total of 30% of their adjusted income for rent, including an allowance for utilities.

Coverage Note: Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Schuyler, Seneca, Tioga and Tompkins County.

Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services revitalizes neighborhoods and assists low to moderate income people in obtaining quality housing on a long-term basis. Services include affordable housing, rental properties, homeownership services or home repair assistance. INHS is also for people with modest incomes looking to rent, buy, repair, or participate in a home buyer education course.
