* Provides benefit counseling services to all veterans and their families that include:
  • Case management.
  • Female Veteran Programing.
  • Senior veteran services.
  • Financial counseling.
  • VA benefits counseling. 
* Offers an employment resource center that aims to help veterans stabilize and re-enter the workforce assistance includes:
  • Resume writing assistance, career counseling, and career assessment.
  • Job readiness and life skills training.
  • Weekly VetNet, networking, and job club group.
  • Occupational skills training classes.
* Assists veterans and families to manage their finances and to develop individualized plans to reach their goals.

* Provides housing search assistance and temporary financial assistance through Services to Enable Positive Solutions (STEPS) program.

* Provides individual and family counseling to veterans and their families.

* Offers legal assistance through collaboration with Monroe County Legal Assistance Center.
  • Veterans Treatment Court.
* Creates a supportive network for veterans who could benefit from a veteran peer mentor and other community relationships through CompeerCorps. 
 

Eligibility: Proof of veteran/discharge status and family members. Veterans Treatment Court: For veterans with nonviolent criminal charges who have a substance abuse or mental health diagnosis.

Application Process: Call or drop in.

Required Documentation: Proof of Veteran status.

Fees: No fee for services.

Coverage Note: Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, and Wayne Counties.

 

Veterans Outreach Center provides a one-stop-shop model of services to the United States Armed Forces veterans and their families through case management, residential services, Quartermaster program, Morale Center services, suicide prevention/awareness support, and more.
