* Offers children ages 8 to 14 professionally-supported, one-to-one relationships and mentoring.
  • COMMUNITY BASED Traditional BBBS mentoring program matching youth in the community one to one, with adult mentors who meet once a week for at least one year. 
  • BIGS IN BLUE Bigs in Blue is a program focused on building relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
  • BEYOND SCHOOL WALLS Beyond School Walls (BSW) mentoring program matches youth with an adult mentor. Meetings take place at the mentor's place of work to expose students to workforce opportunities.
  • HIGH SCHOOL BIGS This program matches high school students one to one with elementary Littles in a one day a week after school program at their school.

Eligibility: Go to www.beabig.org to submit an inquiry and attend an orientation.

Application Process: Youth: Caregiver can click on link to enroll: https://bbbs.tfaforms.net/4842069 Caregiver can visit the website and submit an inquiry form. An Enrollment Specialist will follow up. Staff contact information is available on the website. Required Documentation: Volunteers: need a Drivers License and Insurance card, must pass a background/reference check.

Fees: No fee for service.

Coverage Note: Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, and Yates Counties.

Big Brothers Big Sisters enrolls children between the ages of 8-14 in the Monroe, Ontario, Yates, Wayne and Livingston counties. Provides children a strong, enduring and professionally supported one to one mentoring relationship. Each match is unique and develops a schedule that works for them.
