* Provides quality care and early childhood educational programs, including:  
  • Pre-Kindergarten for 3 and 4 year olds.
  • Head Start.
  • Early Head Start.
  • Early Childhood programs.
  • Full day child care.
  • Full day summer camp.
  • Summer Kindergarten enrichment and Summer LEAP programs.
* Provides access to family support services for those enrolled in these programs, including;
  • Parenting skills coaching
  • Resource referrals
  • Education and vocational training
  • Job search assistance

Eligibility: Pre-K and Head Start must reside in City of Rochester. Early Headstart: up to age 3 years. Headstart: age 3-4 years. Enriched Childcare: ages 3-12 years. Summer camp: kindergarten-grade 6.

Required Documentation: Proof of income.

Fees: Monroe County Department of Human Services.

Volunteers of America of Western New York provides housing and support services for individuals and families who are homeless, care and educational programs for at-risk children,affordable housing for seniors, reentry programs, and food for residents of specific areas of Monroe County.
