* Monitors community water systems, non-community water supplies, distribution.
  • Oversees water emergencies, conducts inspections and evaluations.
  • Monitors operator qualifications.
* Permits facilities, conducts food operator training, inspects food establishments including temporary facilities and vending machines.

* Regulates residential and recreational sanitation.
  • Regulates sewage disposal, new and existing.
* Operates programs for rabies control.
  • Investigates all animal bites, arranges treatment for people bitten by animals.
* Enforces the Clean Indoor Air Act.
