* Offers a work preparation program for individuals who have struggled to find work due to previous or current incarceration, substance use disorders or chronic unemployment.  

* Provides a 90 day training. Trainees learn and practice basic work expectations, woodworking, welding in a live production environment. 

* Conducts a job search with a Placement Advisor. 

* Offers stabilization services to individuals who are currently incarcerated to begin work training upon release. 

Eligibility: Individuals struggling to find employment due to previous/current incarceration, addiction, individuals receiving DHS services or chronic unemployment. Must be available to participate.

Hope Initiatives provides furniture, appliances, household goods and moving services for low-income individuals who have active cases with Monroe County Department of Human Services (DHS) or other agency and are approved to receive needed items. DHS or the agency must cover the cost of the items. Hope Initiatives also provides affordably priced furniture, household goods, appliances, and moving services for the general community. Delivery is included for all Monroe County locations. Hope Initiatives offers a work readiness program called HOPE Works.
