Institutions that acquire, preserve, research and exhibit permanent and/or traveling collections of materials which relate to the development and achievements of the motion picture industry. Exhibits may display costumes and sets from specific films, publicity materials, scripts and memorabilia; and the museum may serve as an archive for rare or old copies of films that have special significance to the industry.
