211/LIFE LINE is a free, 24-hour confidential phone, chat, text service, and searchable online database. We are proud to bring a compassionate approach to providing information, referral and crisis/ suicide prevention services for Monroe, Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, Cayuga, and Seneca Counties.

211/LIFE LINE is a lead organization for the 2-1-1 Finger Lakes Region working in partnership with Institute for Human Services and Human Service Collation serving Steuben, Chemung, Schuyler, Allegany, Yates, Tompkins, and Cortland Counties.

211/LIFE LINE has been fully vetted by a number of oversight bodies and has been accredited in the areas of Information & Referral Services and Suicidology for 20+ years and in 2013 we added Online Emotional Support accreditation.

Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS)

The AIRS Accreditation Program is the only credential specifically geared for programs engaged in the specialized field of I&R. It measures a program's organizational compliance with expected practices within the field as defined by the AIRS Standards and Quality Indicators for Professional Information and Referral.

American Association of Suicidology (AAS)

The membership of AAS validates service delivery programs that are performing according to nationally recognized standards for crisis/ suicide prevention services. People in life-threatening and other crises who obtain service from AAS-accredited programs are assured that staff has seriously examined their commitment to provide service according to recognized standards

International Council for Helplines (ICH)

International Council for Helplines (formerly CONTACT USA) is a helpline membership organization with a mission to inspire, educate, and accredit helpline programs which offer support to individuals in crisis and emotional distress. ICH offers accreditation to all chat and/or text crisis helpline programs to ensure high quality standards and ethical practice.
