Provides a municipal shelter for all surrendered or stray animals within the Rochester City limits. Enforces city ordinances regarding animal control. Dogs without tags are kept for 5 days. Dogs with state licensed tags are kept for 10 days. Cats kept 5 days. Offers the Low income spay and neuter program. All adopted animals receive a certificate for one free veterinary examination. Accepts donations of food, bedding and litter.
