Flood Information Center

Sandbags
  • School District Administration Building, 143 North Pearl St. Teams will be available to help transport them if needed. Clark, Gibson, Bristol, and Chapin streets will have pallets. Focus on windows, doors, and egresses.
Food
  • Salvation Army Food Pantry 110 Saltonstall St, Open Tues/Thurs 11AM-3:30PM or by appointment
  • Food Pantry at 120N. Main St.through Canandaigua Churches in Action (CCIA) 585-396-2242
  • Salvation Army food pantry is fully stocked - 585-394-6968
  • Ice is available through the City at the Elementary School
  • SNAP recipients who lost food purchased using benefits can request replacement SNAP benefits within 10 days via form provided at Info Center or from Dept. of Social Services, (585) 396-4060
Cleaning Supplies
  • Dozens of cleanup kits available for pick-up at Zion Fellowship
  • Salvation Army cleanup kits (incl. large buckets, garbage bags, broom, mop, bleach, masks, etc.)Will be available at the Flood Information Center on Main Street
Hygiene
  • Salvation Army has facilities available at 110 Saltonstall – just show up M-F 9 AM-4 PM, or call 585-394-6968
  • Family Promise has personal hygiene kits and bedding– 585-905-3988 ext. 6
Financial Support
  • Salvation Army can help with impacted residential purchases: 585-394-6968 ext. 115
  • Family Promise has gift cards – 588-905-3988 ext. 6
  • Small Business Disaster Loans: Information online at bit.ly/OCLoan
  • Canandaigua National Bank is establishing a fund to help with local relief efforts, including for residents.
Residential Clean-up Support > coordinated by United Way. They are available for walk-ins at the Ontario County Chamber building on 113 South Main Street.
 
Volunteers and financial donations
  • Volunteers should be directed to The Partnership for Ontario. They will have a running list of projects and will coordinate volunteers. Please call 315-759-3453.
  • Financial donations can go to a relief fund at Canandaigua National Bank. Please call CNB.
  • Salvation Army, United Way, and The Partnership can all funnel folks accordingly.
Emergency shelter
  • Family Promise has an apartment available, and community members are offering rooms, housing, etc. Call 588-905-3988.

Mental Health – 211 and 988 are always available for social and mental health services. 

Eligibility: Victims of the July 2023 flood in Ontario County.
