Mental Health Support and Education
thru: National Alliance on Mental Illness Rochester
• Provides educational and support programs for the individual living with mental illness and family members. These include: support groups, classes and workshops, a local website, a helpline, and a national website with additional information and classes.
• Provides information about the service delivery system, legislation and community programs and resources.
• Offers education in the community presented by individuals and family members with the lived experience of mental illness/health.
• Offers special annual events, including NAMI Walks to raise community wide awareness about mental illness and support.
Cultural Competency
Eligibility: Anyone affected by or interested in learning more about mental health conditions.
Application Process: Call, email or visit website for information.
Required Documentation: None.
Fees: No fee for services.
Coverage Note: Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans and Wayne Counties.
