Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy Services
thru: Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes
• Provides confidential safe shelter, advocacy, and crisis/educational counseling to victims and their children during times of crisis. Services include:
- Crisis intervention
- Needs assessment and evaluation of your situation
- Personalized safety plan
- Education, information, and referrals
- Access to safe shelter
- Crisis, peer, and domestic violence educational counseling
- Support group, virtual and in-person
- Referral to therapeutic counseling
- Knowledge of victims rights
- Assistance with Family Court Petitions, court accompaniments, criminal justice and legal advocacy
- Advocacy for housing, social services, medical and other needed services
- Transportation to essential services
- Community education and outreach
Eligibility: Victim of Domestic Violence, age 16 and older.
Application Process: Call or walk in.
Required Documentation: None.
Fees: No fee for services.
Coverage Note: Ontario and Wayne Counties.
