• Permits facilities, conducts food operator training, inspects food establishments including temporary facilities and vending machines.

• Regulates residential and recreational sanitation.

• Regulates sewage disposal, new and existing.

• Operates programs for rabies control.

• Investigates all animal bites, arranges treatment for people bitten by animals.

• Enforces the Clean Indoor Air Act.
