Opioid Overdose Prevention Program

• Provides links to over 700 registered opioid overdose prevention programs throughout NYS provide free training and furnish free or with health insurance – low costs- naloxone kits to the community.

• Offers Opioid Overdose Program Directory: https://providerdirectory.aidsinstituteny.org/

• Offers Naloxone Co-payment Assistance Program (N-CAP), a pharmacy benefit for all New Yorkers who have prescription coverage through their health insurance plans. Co-payments for naloxone in an amount up to $40 for each prescription dispensed will be billed to N-CAP, not to the individual getting naloxone.

• Provides links to Community Opioid Overdose Prevention Training calendar www.nyoverdose.org/Home/Calendar

• Registers eligible entities under Public Health Law 3309 with the New York State DOH, Opioid Overdose Prevention Initiative: www.health.ny.gov/diseases/aids/general/opioid_overdose_prevention/become_a_program.htm
