• Provides constitutionally mandated legal representation in criminal matters to people who cannot afford to pay for their own lawyer. Represents some clients of the office in Family Court cases in which clients are entitled to legal representation.
• Handles matters involving felonies, misdemeanors, appeals, parole, probation, vehicle and traffic, and some simple violations of law in Ontario County Court, Geneva, and Canandaigua City Court, Drug Court, and the various Justice Courts in Ontario County. Handles arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) and Youth Part.

Eligibility: Residents of area served or have a case in the area.
Application Process: Must complete eligibility interview in the office or by phone.
Required Documentation: Appearance ticket or notice to appear, if applicable. Type of charge. Court where you are required to appear and your next scheduled appearance date/time. Name of Judge, if known. Any documents you may have related to your case.
Fees: No fee for service.
