Adoption and Foster Care Services

• Provides foster care services. Services include: Temporary placement for children at-risk, Foster parent recruitment, and Foster parent training and certification.

• Offers adoption services. Services include: Certification of prospective adoptive families and places children in DSS foster care with adoptive families.

Eligibility: Call for information.

Application Process: Certification by the Department of Social Services according to New York State regulations. Complete pre-certification training program. Cooperate with a background investigation. Annual homestudy update and recertification.
