RSVP: Retired Senior Volunteer Program

thru: Finger Lakes Community Action

Engages senior citizens into service, including:

  • Volunteer Transportation Corps: provides medical transport for other seniors
  • Bone Builders: Lead low-impact exercise classes for other seniors
  • Tax Counseling for the Elderly: Provide IRS-sanctioned tax preparation services for other seniors
  • A Matter of Balance: Evidence-based class that incorporates learning safety skills and gentle excercises to address fall prevention. Class meets 2 times a week for 4 weeks.

Provides training for all opportunities.

Eligibility: Must be 55 or older to become an RSVP volunteer.
