Crisis Nursery of Greater Rochester

thru: The Center for Youth Services

Delivers free, temporary childcare during family emergencies, including (but not limited to): medical emergencies, unexpected illness, accidents, unemployment, mental health episodes, unexpected death, domestic violence, homelessness, legal issues, unstable/unsafe housing. Families can call, no need for a referral from another entity.
  • Children may stay from one hour up to two weeks.
  • Linkage to services to assist families in need.

Eligibility: Families in crisis. Ages birth-14 years. Older siblings up to 17 years also accepted.

Application Process: Intake is completed over the phone.

Required Documentation: Call for information.

Fees: No fee for service.

Coverage Note: Monroe County.
