Colorectal Cancer

A condition in which there is a malignancy in the tissue of the colon, the section of the large intestine between the cecum and the rectum, and/or the rectum, which extends from the sigmoid flexure to the anus. Colorectal cancers arise from mushroom-shaped growths called polyps which are usually benign but can develop into cancer over time.
