Included are programs that make it possible for family members to stay in local hotels, motels or other settings at no cost or a reduced cost, hotels and motels that provide discounts for people who are visiting an ill family member and programs that maintain special facilities for this purpose.

Eligibility:
Families of children 21 years and under receiving medical treatment within area served. Westmoreland House: A referral from a health care provider or social worker, and must live farther 12 miles of the Westmoreland House. House within The Hospital: Children must be inpatient at Strong Memorial Hospital. Family member must be 18 or older to stay here. Family Rooms & Lounge: Open to families of pediatric patients. Mental Health and Wellness Family Room: Open to families of pediatric patients receiving care in the Department of Psychiatry at Strong. Unity Sleeping Rooms: Children must be inpatient at Unity Hospital. Family member must be 18 years or older to stay.
