Support Groups
thru: Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter
• Provides peer and professionally led gatherings, meets bi-weekly or monthly for information and social support. Groups include:
- Persons living with Alzheimer's or other dementia
- Caregivers, including LGBT caregivers
- Care partners of those with younger onset
- Early-stage Alzheimer's disease
- Spanish-speaking caregivers
• Offers online groups.
Language Access
Eligibility: All affected by Alzheimer's or some form of dementia including, caregivers, friends, and family members.
Application Process: Advance screening is strongly recommended for early-stage support group admittance. Call for screening.
Required Documentation: None.
Fees: No fee for services.
Coverage Note: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties.
